I apologize if this is incredibly dumb, but where did my boot camp go?

I just wanted to try parallels on my MacBookPro.

Went slow with the trial installation and tried not to make any mistakes.

Now my Boot Camp is gone and I can no longer re-boot my machine by holding down the option key.

I only used the Windows side for a bit of CAD work, most of the files are backed up, but I would like to get them and the programs back to where they were, never expected that Parallels would get rid of all that stuff???? Is it really gone?

Not sure what other info is pertinent:
    MacBookPro
    Trial Parallels, downloaded today
    Windows Vista
Absolutely nothing on the windows side of the machine other than a CAD program and the working files.

I've done a bunch of searches but can not find anyone quite as computer illiterate as I am.
    Thanks for any help,
    KR

It really seems like Parallels installed right over all the info on my Boot Camp without telling me it was going to.
Is this the default way it would install?
I went with the auto-recommended steps during the installation to try and that obviously didn't work as planned.

Can anyone tell me if the info on my Boot Camp is really gone?
Or is it just hiding somewhere?

    Thanks,
    KR
