When is the Windows 7 installation complete?

When using the express install is Windows 7 completely installed after the Windows 7 desktop is shown? I am wondering just because I clicked to install parallel tools after my Windows 7 desktop showed up and it said somthing about my disk in the cd/dvd drive using to install tools and I was like "oh no, I don't want it messing with that" so I tried removing it using the menu on my mac and that option wasn't present so I went to "my computer" on windows 7 and ejected it by clicking the "eject" button on my disk drive options, it ejected, THEN a little pop up came up asking me to reinsert it.... and I don't know why? could I have screwed somthing up?
