I am trying to run a flight simulator program and i cant get my USB controller connecte to the VM....is this something i can fix or should i just stop trying?
I suspect you will have to wait for the next release. USB support is incomplete even in the latest beta.
Build 1970 only supports USB 1.1 devices. RC1-Build 3120 is the latest BETA--no support is provided in its use. I am successfully using the following USB 2.0 devices in RC1> 1) Sandisk Cruzer flashdrives, 1 and 2 gig. 2) Palm Treo 650 smartphone to Entourage using the Entourage conduit. 3) Maxtor OneTouch backup drives. 4) Samsung Writemaster CD-DVD drives in various enclosures. The USB support is still shaky. It seems to work best when you first eject the device in Mac and then manually connect it in Windows. To do so choose the USB icon menu at the lower right of the screen and select the device you want to connect. I have better success with this than having Autoconnect On in my Parallels setup. There is no support for Direct X or for direct 3D modeling--I suspect this is why Flight Simulator won't work--these limitations are clearly stated in the release notes. Now you should learn some patience and respect--it's just a game. PJK
