For such great technology their web presence is horrible. 1) No link to these fourms, anywhere. Need google to find them. 2) Now they start a blog. is it at blog.parallels.com, or www.parallels.com/blog/ ? Nope! Its at: http://parallelsvirtualization.blogspot.com/ Way to go. Teach people to click links on a site that is not your domain. Now some hacker can set up paralllelsvirtualization.blogspot.com, easily duplicate your page and get people to download their hacked version. Didn't see the extra ell in there did you? Neither will most victims. Oh so someone could do that with paralllels.com also, but that is a much shorter domain to verify, vs some goofy blogspot domain. Ugh.
I think that the blog at http://parallelsvirtualization.blogspot.com/ is separate from the http://www.parallels.com/ They have different web addresses. kat
Thanks for proving my point, Kat btw the blog is linked to from the home page, up at the top. It's sad they don't point blog.parallels.com to the blog, even my friends with personal blogs do with with blogspot.
The name describes the product Parallels...virtualizationis what it does ....blog is just that a blog. They also have a my space page. http://www.myspace.com/parallelsinc Parallels is a company that makes virtualization products for a virtual world. Noting the unavailability of any link to the forums: http://forum.parallels.com/thread13135.html Initially after the Moderator had replied to it, he locked the thread & in another thread the moderator told people to post complaints about the issue there However, it was pointed out & then subsequently unlocked. As for what they're thinking? Who knows. Maybe they're thinking the fanboy momentum from making a good product will carry them through any poor customer support decisions they make. -Me
