Any one have personal experience in either a Linux (if yes, what Linux distro) or Windows XP VMs with installing a WebLogic 8 series app server set up and then susccessfully use it to deploy applications for testing. I don't expect native performance, but I wonder if this has been done to date and how usable it is. Since a VM appears to have its own address, could I deploy from my OS X Java environment (say from Eclipse or Intellij) to the Weblogic running in the VM? That would be sweet. Jim
