FYI to those thinking about buying this product or phone support, be prepared.

I just paid $30 for phone support, almost the same cost as the program. I called and what do I get, everyone is busy. I am very disappointed that I have to pay for phone support that isn't there. Geez, horrible customer service. If you are too busy to handle phone support, then let people make an appointment. I am at work, this is for work, I am busy, and now I have to sit at my desk waiting until who knows when. And I can't do anything because parallels is dead after I did the upgrade.

Other than this problem, the program works pretty well. There are some minor USB conflicts (whenever I plug in a USB printer cable and have parallels running it crashes), slow and expensive phone customer support, and my mac has zero battery life now.

There is free email support (I cant imagine good response time if they have delays for paid tech support) and this bulletin board.

Parallels is almost a great product. The tech support issue (most software companies are like this) is a real drag. Hopefully, someone in the company will see this email and improve so we users can get a great product, end to end.

well, if i am supposed to uninstall first, then parallels should say that. how about a little pop up box. i have never had to do an unistall before doing an install.

can i do an uninstall now or will i loose all my windows files?

i am in Los Angeles. it is 4:47pm now.

parallels phone help, when is it open? who knows. they say 8AM - 7PM Pacific Time but maybe that is not true. or maybe they have such a small stuff that they are overwhelmed.

macbook pro with 2MB of 667 MHz DDr2 SDRAM.
    2.16 Ghz intel core duo
    OS 10.4.8
Window XP Professional with service pack 2

btw - i just got an email from Parallels since I emailed abot the non-response and I got an automated response saying someone will contact me in 3 days. pathetic
