Besides the information in the manual trying to convert a VmWare based VM or a single (not splitted) VMDK file the described way does not work anymore in Parallels 19.
Trying to import a VMDK opens a dialog with the question to convert, clicking on "convert" will open for a fraction of a second a new window and end the process without conversion.
While trying to open a VMware VM does nothing at all.
This worked on older version of Parallels. Did you stop the conversion functionality?
My System: Mac Pro, 16/32 Intel Xeon W, 368 GB RAM, 20 TB SSD, MacOS Nonoma 14.2.1, Parallels 19.2.1
I wonder why a software that I pay the last 15 years for every year will getting worse in its functionality every year while at the same time free software (VirtualBox) is getting better and better.
Is there at least a command line tool to convert either ova, vmx or vmdk files?
