I'm trying to make a macOS VM look like an actual computer, the goal is not to be able to tell (from MDM mostly) that this is a VM I find some articles about the article, the UUID, and the model identifier : -- Which I can try at the moment because somehow I don't have the gear for the VM configuration next to the VM on the configuration panel : Go to Hardware -> Boot Order -> Advanced settings, and add the following Boot flags: devices.smbios.serial=_S/N_" devices.mac_hw_model="MacBookAir7,1 for the UUID https://kb.parallels.com/11197, I can't find the config.pvs file If I manage all this, the last issue I think I'll get is the hardware report on system preference, I'm pretty sure it's will be reported as M1 (VIRTUAL). Can I somehow change the reported CPU? ideally not to an M1... but at least not showing "Virtual"
*ideally the hardware overview would like this: Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac18,3 Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Core i5 Processor Speed: 3.4 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 6 MB Memory: 16 GB System Firmware Version: 447.80.3.0.0 OS Loader Version: 540.100.7~23 SMC Version (system): 2.41f2 Serial Number (system): __Custom_S/N__ Hardware UUID: __Custom_UUID__ Provisioning UDID: __Custom_UUID__
Hi, Did this work for you? I am trying to do the same thing. Please anyone give an update or advice if you can. Thanks!
