I ran into quite an unusual bug. Parallels is trying to stop Windows 7 but it never finishes. I quit Parallels and I see it is still trying to stop it. I can't do anything to make it stop trying to stop Windows 7. So I'm in a situation where I can't access my VM at all. Attached is a jpg of the VM, never changes.

    Parallels: Build 6.0.11828
    OS X: 10.6.5

This happened to me as well, but it happened as I was trying to create the Windows VM from an install disk. Eventually I just had to shut down the Mac, reboot, delete the bad VM, and create a new VM from a disk image of the Windows install disk.
For some reason, the Parallels did not not want to complete the process when I was using the Windows install DVD.

It turns out that I had a hung Parallels process that just wouldn't give up. Killing the process solved the issue in my case. Thanks for writing back!

Glad to hear it was an easy fix!
