I’m on a Mac Air that has 74GB capacity and OS X version 10.5.8.

I’m running Parallels 6.0 Mac and Windows XP SP3.

Parallels has 34.6GB but I keep having problems getting into my VM as it wants more and more space even though I keep freeing up space on my computer.

    I get this message:

“Unable to start Windows XP2 VM. Free up at least 105MB on the physical hard disk that stores the VM.â€

I deleted all my photos and videos from my computer and it worked okay for a bit now it’s wanting more disk space again even though it has more space now then it had previously when it was working. I haven’t been saving anything on my computer so nothing is taking up new space so don’t know why it keeps needing more and more space.

Is this a bug in Parallels or am I missing something? I’d be grateful for any help.

I've deleted more files. My Local Disk (C) has Total size: 63.9GB and Free space: 55.7GB

I'm still getting the message that my start up disk is full and then I get kicked out of the VM !!?

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to resolve it?

Update-I've spoken to 3 people at parallels support and still haven't resolved this. Each time they say they will call back once my computer has finished doing something they have set up but they never call me as promised. Each time I've had to call back I've been put on hold for 40-60mins before I get to speak to someone! Not happy!!

After waiting 5 hours for Karthik (the supervisor) to finish his call and phone me back I've given up waiting. So now I'm on hold again, only been 39mins so far, shame about the dreadful music I've had to listen to for 2 days...

    Hi,

Could I recommend you to compress VM - use:
    Virtual Machine Configuration
    Hardware
    Hard Disk
    "Compress.." button
