Hey folks, I love Parallels... and I've had no end of problems with the VM Catalog. Because we're sharing vm's amongst multiple users on a machine, the VM Catalog on some machines has gotten filled with erroneous or defunct vm's. If I have a vm in /Users/Shared/ I can't just import it into a fresh Parallels installation; I have to go through the VM wizard with a faux operating system before the File menu -> Open becomes active. But after opening the shared VM, the old, faux one still sits around and I have to delete it. In another case, the same VM appears in the VM Catalog twice! I have utterly failed to figure out how to get rid of one without deleting the whole hard drive image. Please provide us a better interface and some better documentation on how to edit the Catalog! Thanks folks.
Found the VM catalog here: ~/Documents/.parallels-vm-directory The ~/.parallels_settings is obsolete (it seems, deleting did not change anything). Cheers, Fons.
