I'm having still trouble in working with Visual Studio 2010 on a .psf shared folder. Among many other problems, if you try to create a new project (MFC executable) in a .psf share (mapped on a Z drive), the project wizard fails (in particular, during the creation of /res folder). The problem was there already before the latest update (5.0.9370), which didn't solve it. The opportunity of working with Visual Studio on a folder shared with the Mac OS-x file system could be of great advantage of us developers, because you could work on the same source tree of your mac and backup your code with the time machine.
