For the last week or two, my Vista machine runs like sludge when in virtual mode. It is so slow as to be useless to me. I thought perhaps it was a Vista-specific problem, and have gone through several registry checks using System Mechanic and CCleaner, with no success. The problem does not occur when I run Vista in Boot Camp mode. This suggests that one or the other of the recent Parallels updates has created a problem. Anyone else? How would I go about reverting back to two updates ago?
Build 6.0.12094 is the latest one. 11828 was the build many people experienced no problems with. After that there were a few builds with partly severe issues. 12092 was fine - this was the last before 12094.
I too am having this problem. I used to have Windows XP on Parallels 4 and everything ran fast. XP had some error that kept making it crash so I upgraded to Parallels 6 and then I upgraded to Vista and now Parallels runs so slow I can hardly use it. Any ideas how I can get it to speed up.
