    Hey,

I have bought Parallels - v3036 and have been using the software for about 2 months now, maybe a little less. No problems with it except for the fact that Windows XP is useless :p

Anyway, I would like to see what this new 'exciting' OS from Windows is like - Windows Vista, and there is a free Windows XP - Vista transformation pack that my friends have used. It doesn't actually change the OS to Vista obviously, since that would be completely illegal, it just changes the theme of the OS, the logon screen, some of the ways the OS runs and basically makes it appear to be Vista in the closest possible way other than buying the actual Vista OS.

    Here comes my question:

The installer package for Vista Transformation Pack wishes to change system settings and some system files in order to work properly. I know this pack is virus free etc since a few of my colleagues at work have used this package.

If I let the package change system files, will it only change Windows system files - NOT attempt to change the Mac OS X system files? Windows XP is running in the Parallels workstation when I install this. Just want to make sure that the pack will ONLY run in the workstation and not try to edit/add things outside of that in my actual main system?

    Thanks for any replies,

    Answer is:

Yes you can use the package, it doesn't affect your Mac, only Windows.
