I've got a Mac Pro with Parallels RC2 (3150) installed. In it, I have client OS for Ubuntu 6.10, Windows XP Pro SP2, and Windows Vista Business. I'm hard wired to an Apple Airport Extreme N router connected to a Comcast cable network business throughput. All but Vista connect to the network. I can't find any configuration of Vista to have it find the network. I did nothing in installing XP pro to have the parallels drivers find the wired NIC and share the network. Vista doesn't seem to work that way, but no combination I can find gets me outbound (or inbound for that matter) on the network. Any thoughts, ideas?
Try installing Parallels Tools Had the similiar issue, but saw this post: 6679: How to install Vista upgrade step by step http://forum.parallels.com/archive/index.php/t-8568.html and it gave me the novel idea that maybe I should install Parallels Tools. (Parallels Desktop menu: Actions -> Install Parallels Tools...) I did it, took a short time and had to acknowledge several of Vista's "do you want to install" prompts, but after it installed and restarted, networking worked fine.
For Vista i recommend Parallels RC3 and i had to install parallels tools to get most of Vista to work !!
