On my Mac Book pro I have a bootcamp installed with Vista it is formated NTFS. When I put the Vista dvd in it did not give me choice as to fat or ntfs. When I try paralles to see the boot camp partition it does not, I would guess since the format it ntfs. Fusion has no probles with it and boots up Vista just fine, of course I do not get aero but other than that it is fine. So the question is when will paralles get support for ntfs. Or I am doing something wrong. If paralles does not support ntfs it is a feature that is needed. John
Parallels supports NTFS in boot camp. They do not support Vista in Boot Camp (at least not officially although some have gotten it to work).
I am not knocking parallels, I have been using it for a long time. I purchased it way back for the discounted price and have been amazed with it, but not supporting ntfs with vista is dissapointing. So for now I will be using fusion for vista. I am sure that someday they will support ntfs for vista, even though it has been some time since a update has been posted. I do remember not that long ago that updates came out often.
I have searched these forums for a while and cannot find the non offical steps to fix this issue. Does anyone know the thread? I jumped the gun and upgraded my BootCamp XP to Vista. Thanks
Plug-in these two words into the search: VISTA BootCamp It's number five on the list... "Vista BootCamp Anybody?" Not that hard.
Thank you, for some reason searching on "vista" " bootcamp" and "1.2b" returned no results. I will be less specific in my search criteria in the future.
