Virtual Machine cannot detect printer

I am using a printer on a network, and all of the machines can 'detect it' except for the virtual machine. I have tried installing printer drivers and Bonjour, but when I get to the part where it searches for the printer, it doesn't see it. It's a wifi printer (Canon MP560), and the blue wifi light is on. All of the instructions fr set up assume the printer will be detected, so I hit a wall at this point.

I am confused and frustrated, because everything else works fine, but I am a bookkeeper and printing is one of the most important features I use. Some things I can work around by dragging a pdf to the Mac and printing off that, but I can't do mailing labels and such.

I'm running XP on Parallels 3 on a MacBookPro running OS X 10.5.8
