Ok, I've searched around and seen a couple posts relating to this, but nobody really gives a clear answer if there is a way (which seems like no), and if they are working on it.

i find the idea of switching fullscreen from the guest to host os (just like parallels desktop for mac does with that additional 3rd party software for virtual desktops) fascinating. Ideally, linux users should be able to fullscreen a guest vm instance on say workspace #2 and be able to toggle back and forth between workspaces with a hotkey.

Currently, my ubuntu is set up to use the hotkey ctrl+alt+right to move to the next workspace to the right. Obviously parallels is setup to exit fullscreen mode with ctrl+alt, hence the conflict. Though, even if parallels did not use this shortcut key, i doubt linux would catch the input as i would still be focused on the guest os which would capture the input, leaving me with nothing happening.

I'm not sure what the best way would be to accomplish this feat, but i do know this is a feature i really want. Perhaps it's time for parallels to consider building this type of virtual desktop functionality into the windows/linux workstation edition? (and maybe even the desktop for mac version so users don't need to rely on 3rd party software for it).

    Any thoughts?
