My husband was so amazed at how fast this client is, he did a quicktime movie and posted it up on YouTube. You can see it here from his website - http://www.prodedgy.com/article/51. In just about an hour, it's been viewed over 1,000 times! Way to go Parallels!
My Parallels video experience isnt quite that fast. What hardware is your husband running this on? Is he using the Parallels video drivers?
I can say that it's definitely about that fast for me, on a MacBook Pro (2.0 GHz Core Duo, 2 GB RAM).
Great video!!! Zuul - AMAZING video!! Would it be ok to post that on our website? We'll of course give you full credit. Please let me know...email me at [email protected]. Cheers, Ben
We are running it on an iMac Intel 20" with 256 MB VRAM, 1.5 GB RAM. I allocated 512 MB to XP. This video was shot before enabling Parallels Tools (video driver) so it's even a bit faster now that I have enabled them. The tools also took away the mousing lag for me as well.
Hmm, two questions: 1.) Where do I find these Parallels Tools, and 2.) how come my About box shows "Virtualization Mode" off? (Intel iMac)
. Whoareyou, /usr/lib/parallels/tools/vmtools.iso. Pretty sure you have to burn to cd and have the cd in with your VM running. When VM is running, the Virtualization Mode details will be much different. .
On OS X vmtools.iso is placed in /Library/Parallels/Tools/ directory, not in /usr/lib/parallels/tools
Parallels Tools? Where can I get the "Parallels Tools"? I see no mentionof them any where on the Parallels site. I am using the latest beta 3, are they now included in the basic install? Am I missing something??
