I am testing v3.0, and one of the two problems I am having has to do with USB ports. I am using this on my Mac Mini carpc, and I have the Xenarc Touchscreen USB connection, the USB keyboard and mouse connection, and a USB 2.0 hub plugged into the mini. Into the hub I have a Bu-353 bluetooth GPS module and a USB cable that goes to a Sirius Radio interface. In PD 2.0, I could select 2 USB devices, namely my Touchscreen and my GPS, and the mouse/keyboard continued to work. If I tried to select a third item, namely the Sirius USB interface, it would say I was maxed out on devices. With 3.0 saying it supports up to 8 2.0 devices as well as the 2 1.1, I thought I would be set. However, the behavior is the same - it tells me the devices are maxed with just the two selected. Can anyone assist me in having these 3-4 items running simulatenously under PD? Thanks!!!
FWIW, I think all 3 are 1.1 devices. Is this why it isn't working, even though 2.0 is backwards compatible? If so, why the 2 device limitation for 1.1?
