Normally in windows it is easy get High ID from emule. But using emule in parallels desktop - Windows xp, I do not know how to get a fixed IP.

    With the bootcamp I just go Network Preferences/View Connection/(my connection)/Right Click, Properties/Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)/Properties/

    IP Adress: 10.0.0.3
    Submask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 10.0.0.2

This does not work in parallels. I cannot get High ID. Does anyone know how to get High ID?

Use Bridged Ethernet in Virtual Machine

You mean: Parallels Network Adapter in Network Connections ?
I tried it but when I get fixed IP, it does not connect to The Internet.

It is another problem, and it depends on your configuration.
For example I use Airport, and I set Bridged Ethernet, select default adapter and DHCP in Windows ,and I'm getting address correctly, maybe you need to enter IP manually.
    Suggestion is:
if you are using Ethernet , use default adapter and set manually Ip
If you are using Airport, it also should work, maybe there are MAC address restrictions on router?

Is this the same thing with printer. Because although I installed windows drivers for HP Laserjet 1020 I cannot use it.

as a newbie I was facing the same problem. My installation is exactly as discribed above. Right adress in router and DHCP in Vista. The port test is failing and causes me no functionality.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
