I upgraded my Parallels Desktop, updated it and installed the tools. I tried it out a few days just to make sure everything was stable.

So this evening I did the following:

I found the folder on my doc with my windows applications, and told it to run hearts. Three minutes later I got the window telling me about Crystal mode, and a minute later I got the Windows bar above my dock. But no hearts. This is what I've been getting with other applications which I tried to start from the Windows folder.

I don't see any other sign of windows except for the Windows bar. I don't see a windows icon in the top. The Parallels icon in my doc does not indicate that it's running. It doesn't seem to have a hot corner. I can start hearts by returning to the folder and clicking it again, or by using my Windows Start window. When a Windows program is in front, I get the Parallels stuff in my top bar. Is this the way it is supposed to work?

Then I closed Hearts and ran Civilization II. With the first window (telling me the CD isn't loaded), I don't see the Windows stuff in the top. But in the 2nd window, I see these. It appears to run OK until I try to open a city window. No dice. I close it and try to figure out how to make it full screen. I told Parallels to exit Crystal. I still can't open the city window. I moved to full screen. The hot corner is now working, but Civilization II still can't open the city window. I close Civ II and then re-open it. It now works correctly, I can open city windows.
