I am trying to connect a device ( sky caddie4) with my usb driver. i keep getting this message "USB DEVICE YOU ARE TRYING TO CONNECT TO VIRTUAL MACHHINE IS USED BY NOTHER PROCESS. WAIT 5-10 MINUTES THEN TRY AND CONNECT AGAIN. IF THIS DOES NOT HELP, FIND THE APPLICATION THAT BLOCKED UP THE DEVICE AND DISCONNECT IT MANUALLY" ive read thru the forums tried many of the fixes. i made my shared folder etc..yet nothing seems to work..please someone help me!
I am not sure what a sky caddie is, but this is worth a try... Is your USB device already plugged in when you start Parallels? If so, try it the other way. Start Parallels and XP. Then plug in the USB device. You can also play with the autoconnect USB setting. Try it both on and off.
I've tried both........ my xp won't recognize it at all..... as if usb's are non-existant. I'm trying to plug in a headset with a microphone..... it won't work.....
Ok..... well I solved my sound problem.......... I think...... anyway what I did was go to Utilities in my Mac..... under Audio/MIDI setup..... I selected my input/output device to my USB headset........ works now....... with both mac and VM-XP
ive tried auto connect...ive tried not pluggiing it in until parallel is on..then vice versa nothing seems to be working!
