I have parallels 3088 installed and all works fine, even the USB printers function as they should. I tried to install my Creative sound blaster audigy 2NX and also the 2zs video editor. They install fine but the audio is very choppy and not usable.
I found VMware and installed their beta version and to my surprise the audigy 2NX works perfectly. So what is the difference in USB implementation between parallels and VMware? VMware is even running in debug mode and yet my USB sound device works normally.
Reason I want the audigy devices installed is so I can record using adobe audition.
I like parallels for its ease of installation and setup yet I like VMware for it functionality when it comes to USB function.

I guess there is some problem with USB audio, since I have the same audio (choppy and scratchy) with a usb 5.1 device that works quite well on bootcamp/windows.

    1. Install you usb sound device on Mac first.
    2. Select your usb audio as a default sound output device.
    3. Start Windows, everything should be fine.
