Just downloaded 5582 and now my scanner is running really slowly. It stops and starts and takes ages to scan a page in B/W at 200dpi - and you can forget about colour just now.

No problems to found under OS X - the scanner runs normally there.

It reminds me of how the scanner used to run when you were only supporting USB 1.1 at the beginning of the year. After the upgrade to USB 2.0 the scanner ran well both under Parallels 2 as well as Parallels 3. It is just this 5582 upgrade.

BTW - one other change happened at the same time as my upgrade to 5582: I changed from a wireless keyboard and mouse to a USB keyboard and mouse. Would they slow down the USB ports in Parallels to the detriment of my scanner?

Thank you, Xenos, for your reply. I tried the new build but while it is definitely faster in colour it is no where near as fast as it used to be especially in black and white. As most of my scanning is of documents in B&W, the slowdown is most inconvenient.
