I am running Windows XP in Parallels Desktop 4.0 Build 4.0.3846 and I loaded the drivers for my HP Color LaserJet 2605dn printer so I could print with the USB connection from the Devices Menu. I would like to be able to access the duplex capabilities of the printer and can't do that with the generic HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS selection. Using the USB connection, I was able to get the LaserJet 2605dn Properties Dialog box to open and to select the duplexing option although the pages don't print on both sides. The biggest problem, though, was that my CPU usage went to 100% and stayed there whether I had the printer turned on or off. The Task Manager showed that "wmiprvse.exe" was taking over 60% of the resources. Only by deleting both the PCL and PS versions of the printer from the Windows Printers and Faxes Dialog Box, was I able to unload the CPU. My question is how do I utilize the USB connection under Parallel's Devices Menu for this printer and not run my CPU usage up to 100%?
