Sorry if this is a repeat posting, but I couldn't find anything similar in my quick search of the forum messages. I've had a persistent problem with Parallels disabling my external USB keyboard and mouse when I wake my MacBook Pro from sleep. My work pattern is such that I run Windows XP in Parallels and transition frequently from my desk (where I use an external Apple USB keyboard and mouse) to a meeting room where I'm using the built-in keyboard and trackpad. When I'm ready to head off to a meeting, I pause my Parallels VM and put my MBP to sleep. When I return to my desk, I open the MBP's lid, plug in my USB keyboard (the mouse is connected to the keyboard) and even though the Parallels VM is still paused, Mac OS X doesn't see my USB keyboard and mouse. I have go to Parallels and manually release the keyboard and mouse from Parallels. Having to do this several times a day is annoying and clearly seems like a bug that should be resolved before shipping. Here's my setup: MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo variety) Apple USB keyboard and mouse Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8N1037) Parallels for Mac build 3170 Windows XP SP2 with latest-and-greatest Parallels tools installed and Windows updates Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is it a known bug and are there any workarounds?
