I have a problem where Parallels won't start unless my MacBook Pro has a similar USB state to what it had the previous time I started Parallels.
I'm running Parallel's beta-6 on a MacBook Pro; sometimes I have a USB keyboard and mouse plugged in and sometimes I don't. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem I often see:
1)Plug in USB mouse and keyboard.
2 ) Start OS X
3) Start Parallels.
4) Use USB devices with Parallels and OS X.
5) Stop Parallels.
6) shutdown computer.
7) restart computer without USB devices plugged in
8) start Parallels.
At this point I get an error saying that Parallels is unable to load a driver and telling me I should either upgrade (as noted I have the latest beta) or re-install.
What I've found that works to fix this problem is to plug in a USB device of any sort into the MacBook such that OS X recognizes it. After doing that, I can use Parallels normally.
