Hey everyone. I'm so frustrated, really hope someone can help. Everytime I put my flash drive into the USB port when I'm running Windows XP, it automatically reverts back to the Mac side and on Windows I get this message: "USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. Wait 5-10 seconds, then try to connect the device again. If this does not help, find the application that blocked up the device and disconnect it manually." No matter what I do it doesn't work. I can eject it from the Mac side and I still get the same message on the Windows side. It works perfect on my Macbook Pro, so what's the story with my iMac? Any ideas?? :(

Please download the latest version of Parallels Desktop build 3188 from our site www.parallels.com using this link:
    http://download.parallels.com/GA/Parallels Desktop 3188 Mac en.dmg
Your activation key must be compatible with this version. Just run Parallels Desktop for Mac installer, and it will automatically update existing Parallels installation. Update doesn’t affect virtual machine files and settings. After update you will be able to run your VMs created before upgrade.

!!!Please don't forget to reinstall Parallels Tools: Run windows after updating-> uninstall Parallels Tools in Windows using standard uninstall procedure ("Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "Add or Remove Programs") -> install new Parallels Tools from the “Actions” menu on the Mac menubar-> reboot VM.

I downloaded the latest version of Parallels desktop build 3188 assuming this was only upgrading the existing parallels software. However when asked to input the activation key the key supplied with the original parallels software was not accepted. The posting from "Denist" (5/8/07) states that the activation key must be compatible with the 3188 download. Does anyone know why it wouldn't be compatible; how you would know if it was compatible and what to do if it isn't compatible? Any help appreciated.

What country are you from? Different countries appear to have different "keys" and require a different download.

You may want to send a private message to Denist at Parallels to see which download you should use.
