I'm on a MacBook Pro running the latest version of Sierra, and the latest version of Parallels for Mac. My USB drives work perfectly on my Mac. I have a Windows 7 VM, my USB drives work perfectly there as well. I created an El Capitan VM, and I have consistent problems. - I will plug in the device, and get the screen that asks what you want to connect to. I choose El Capitan - The USB device shows on the desktop and in finder - Within 3-4 minutes or less, the device will disconnect, and I get the "Disk not ejected properly" message. Interestingly, if I go to Devices/External Devices, I still see the USB drive. - While the drive is first connected, I can usually see just the root folders. Most of the folders will not show their content. Shortly thereafter the drive will disconnect. Note this happens with several different USB drives. My only issue is in the El Capitan virtual machine. Any help that could be provided is greatly appreciated! Best regards, Ed
Disconnecting and reconnecting gives the same problem. - My Mac, which runs Sierra, has no issues. - Parallels running a Windows VM has no issues - Parallels running an El Capitan VM has the issues Do you have any thoughts?
Hi @EdwardZ , please try reinstalling Parallels Tools by Actions > Reinstall Parallels Tools and check if that helps.
