I just installed the Parallels application, then installed XP on it. It worked great and XP runs very fast, everything worked.

I then installed Visio. And after that installation, everything continued to work fine.

However, then I installed the Parellels Tools, and now I can't connect to my USB device, so my mouse and keyboard no longer work. When I manually select 'Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad', I get the following error:

USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. Wait 5-10 seconds, then try to connect the device again. If this does not help, find the application that blocked the device and disconnect it manually.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

Are you sure it is correlated with Parallels Tools installation? Usually this message means that USB device you are going to pass to VM is already mounted and used by Mac OS X. And you should found the way do detach it from Mac OS X and its application first.
