I have just installed the Beta version of Mac Desktop and all is working well. However, I am having difficulty connecting my Windows Mobile5 pda. USB auto is on in Desktop but every time I connect the pda I get the message "USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process." I have checked the Mac and can see no reason for the error. Any help would be appreciated.

Mixalis, I am having the same problem. To be specific I am trying to syncronize a cingular 2125 cell phone with my outlook. i have installed the latest version of Activesync 4.2 and everything seems fine until I try to hook up the phone with the USB cable and then the computer won't recognize the cell phone or the new hardware if that makes more sense. All I want to do is sncronize my cell phone with my outlook and I can not do it, most frustrating if I may say so. What say you or anyone else.

WIZA200 tmobile MDA, same usb problems

 i take comfort in the fact that i'm not the only one.

    13" black MacBook
    Windows XP
    Mac OS 10.4.7.
    Windows Mobile 5.1.7
    ActiveSync 4.2

When I connect the t-mobile MDA with USB cable, I hear a sound indicating that it's recognized. I see it listed in Mac profiler as an RNDIS device. I see it in the Device Manager in XP with an exclamation point. I get error 10: device will not start. I tried various things in XP to get it to work. install, uninstall, blah blah. Tried powering it on after connecting. Tried everything.

Like others, I bought Parallels so that I can sync dumb-butt Outlook with my dumb-butt PDA/MDA. I have a Compaq desktop that I am hoping to donate to charity, but might have to keep it JUST so I can sync crap from Outlook.

Sick of beta testing for people. They should be paying *us* to test this crap out... sorry, frustrated...

    Success syncing T-Mobile MDA!

I paste below my recent interchange with Parallels support tech, George Leary.
The solution to my problem may not help you with yours, but since it took me so long to figure out, I am posting it here.

    Hello George,

Thanks for your suggestions. I installed the Beta upgrade.
It still failed to make a connection in Activesync (but DID connect to the
XP operating system, indicated by a little tone when USB devices are plugged
in. I also saw it appear in Parallels' Devices menu, and selected it.

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM AND YOU MAY WANT TO PASS THIS ON TO OTHERS TRYING TO
    USE ACTIVESYNC:

When the Activesync window comes up and says "Connecting" forever, with the
green circle with arrows in it spinning, and never connects, it may be that
there is a dialog box that popped up BEHIND this window. How stupid is that?
It is smaller than this window, so unless you move the Activesync window out
of the way, you will never know it is there. The dialog says "This device is
protected with a password, please enter it." All I had to do was type in my
Windows Mobile 5 password that I use on the PDA, and then it connected fine
    and synchronized fine.

I don't know whether the Beta of Parallels was necessary for this to work or
    not.

I am delighted that it now works with my T-Mobile MDA, and would recommend
Parallels to anyone who asks about it.

    Thanks,
    Steve
