I have PD 3.0, with its recommended latest build for MAc OS 10.5 users, running very nicely on my Intel Imac, utilizing a copy of Windows XP pro on my Apple Boot Camp partition of the same internal drive. I would like to UPGRADE my XP to Microsoft Vista but am concerned about the right way to do it without screwing up Parallels Desktop. Can I just go ahead and boot up my Mac directly into Windows XP from its Boot Camp/Windows partition, and then run the Vista installer; then go back to a Mac Bootup and have Parallels recognize and run OK with that new Windows OS ? Or would I have to remove and reinstall Parallels Desktop ? If so, before or after the Vista upgrade ? Any other steps needed ? If so, in what order ? What would be all the steps - 1-2-3-4 - - to follow, and in what order, to have Parallels recognize and work smoothly with an upgraded guest windows OS -namely VISTA ? ? - mike, [email protected]
Hello Mike, You will not have to reinstall Guest OS in your VM. The upgraded Vista will be recognized by Parallels. Best regards, Xenos
