Unless it's taking a REALLY long time... I upgraded to Windows 8, downloaded, started install, updated stuff, moved stuff, restarted once.... shutdown for a second restart but it hasn't come back up yet. Parallels still shows Windows 7.pvm

What happened? How long does it take to restart? It's been a few minutes (about 5 now) should I wait longer?

Running latest Parallels 8 for Mac with latest 10.8 for mac (mountain lion?) Too many cats!!!! LOL

Ok, Never mind..... I don't know what happened but I clicked on the Parallels icon and suddenly I had a window to adjust the new settings. Very strange that it stayed invisible until I clicked on somehting.

    All good ......

    ..... for now

Editing to say that It's still shows Windows 7.pvm even tho I'm running 8.

'Windows 7'(.pvm) is the name of the VM, it could've been named' My Fabulous Machine'(.pvm) if you wanted, by default it just names after the operating system you first install. Anyway the name can be changed via the configuration interface if it bothers you, but the name has no impact on the operating system inside it.
