I am trying to upgrade my XP VM to Windows 7 under Parallels 5 via the upgrade package purchased and downloaded from MSFT. I am getting the "machine not ACPI compliant error". I searched the forums here and found that I needed to shut down the VM, change the VM settings from XP to Windows 7, and then retry, which I have done. I retry the upgrade and am still getting the ACPI error.

    Help!

    Full error message:

"This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer."
