When I installed XP, under Parallels, I did not provide enough room for it and the programs I needed. I now find I spend all my time booted into Windows XP (not Parallels). Probably because 1) I am a programmer and Windows is the environment in which I program, and 2) I like video games, and the ones I like are mostly only made for a Windows. I added an external hard drive for the video games, but one of Windows annoying features is that it likes to put temporary files on the C drive. So even though the external hard drive has plenty of space, I frequently cannot complete a task because of lack of space on the C drive. I no longer need the OSX environment. I no longer try to run OSX with Windows as a guest, I just boot straight into Windows. I have found the MacBook Pro to be a really solid and reliable machine, regardless of which environment it runs. Ideally, I would like to upgrade from XP to Windows 7 and also allocate more space from the OSX environment to the Windows environment. Is this do-able? Anyone done it? If so, what were the results....success or disaster? I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer on this situation. Thanks!!
You may assign more space for Boot Camp using Mac OS x Disk Utility - Just drag the separation line between OSes so that more space is allocated to Windows. And this is actually form for Parallels Desktop questions, i think you can find more information at Apple dedicated forum.
