What kind of company blatantly ignores paying customers? I bought an upgrade Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac last night. I currently have Parallels 3, which apparently needs a different install file than the one I was given after checkout. (I found this after later in the knowledge base, none of this was covered in the upgrade email..) I've submitted a support ticket that said I would get a response in 24 hours. It's 24 hours later with no response. I called the support line and zig-zagged my way passed the paid support until I got a real person on the line. (Of course it was someone in a call center in India... but still a person none-the-less) They said they would email me a link to download a new install file in 2-3 hours. 3 hours passed, then 4.. I never got any email. Now the support line is closed, I've sent 3 unanswered emails and I'm stuck with an installation file that won't work. Not to mention the backup CD I paid for will probably be the wrong version as well.
According to the "Upgrading from 2.5 or 3?" link on the main P6 page, version 3 isn't directly upgradeable to 6 so you probably need to uninstall 3 then install 6 then reimport/open your VMs. Does the Parallels 6 .dmg not work for you? There is no other install file.
