Hello, When starting Parallels it told me to update to the latest version of 9. The install failed. It fails on "Initializing Parallels Desktop". I tried deleting Parallels according to instruction in the KB article which amount to dragging that app to the trash. Then I went to my backup and restored the old version. That still hangs on the dialog. So there's likely some bad install files and status somewhere. In other words, the KB article for uninstall is no good. So now I'm dead in the water. How can I recover and maybe work with the new version or at least go back to the one that works? Thank you.
Hi duanemitchell, Please follow the steps below: 1) Un-install Parallels Desktop 9 as suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/en/116992 2) Download Parallels Desktop 9 with the latest build 9.0.24251 from: www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd9 3) Install Parallels desktop 9 and see how it goes.
