I haven't exactly pinned down what triggers this problem, but it seems to happen around half an hour after running PW. I don't remember seeing this problem before beta3, so maybe it's a problem in beta3. At first when Windows inside the VM is idle, I have very low (~2%) CPU usage as well. However, after using it for a while, I notice that even when it's idle the CPU usage is high... around 100% total, which is basically half the CPU power since I have a dual core CPU and the total possible CPU usage is 200%. So I shut down PW, but then the CPU usage stays around that. Activity Monitor shows that one of the two threads named 'Parallels' that appears when I start PW did not quit, and consumes that 100% CPU power. If I force-quit this thread and restart PW, I get a warning dialog box regarding VMX being used by another application when I start up a VM.
i had the same problem ... when i start PWb3, it always has 2 threads ... initially, i didn't notice it, until i put the system to sleep, and recover. i found 1 thread is using almost 100% CPU. I tried several things, one of them is to force quit, and nothing happened to the other one. can someone tell me what is going on with PWb3 ???
