    Hello,

With the release of the RC I have noticed a issues that were posted as feedback to Beta6 that are unresolved.

    1. Shared folders do not work with MS Office applications in a WinXP VM. I receive "file not found" and "path" errors when I attempt to open a document using the .psf shared folder. These documents open fine if a drive is mapped using a network share. I have noticed this problem in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. This issue was posted in more detail earlier.

    2. There is a mouse glitch when using MS Office applications. To replicate, open a document in Word that has some text. Slide the mouse along a line of text from right to left. As you do, the mouse pointer should be the "I-beam". As you approach the left margin, the pointer will change from the "i-beam" to a "right arrow". Note that the pointer suddenly jumps right (about 1 or 2 character spaces) and up (one line). This results in a visual error of the actual position of the mouse pointer. I have noticed this problem in Word, Outlook and Powerpoint. I have not gone looking for the problem in Excel. This problem was posted in an earlier post.

I am posting again the the hope that the Parallels team will catch and correct these issues before the GA.

Finally, regarding wish list items, it would be very helpful to have the ability to add another network adapter to the VM configuration. I'd like to add both my wireless and wired adapters to that when I move locations, I do not have to change the VM configuration manually each time.

Otherwise, my experience with the RC is quite positive so far:

    1. I like the improved UI
    2. CTRL-click on a list of files works now
    3. Performance has improved, boot time decreased from > 60 sec to about 35 sec.

    Thank you!

Both issues (1 and 2) is supposed to be fixed already and will be included in RC2.

    Number one still isn't working

Hi - I am not able to save files from MS applications using the .psf mapping. In excel, when I try to save a file it gives me a "file not saved error". I just upgraded to RC2 and upgraded the corresponding Tools.

    Yeah, I just installed RC2.

    1) I still have the same error when trying to open a file.
    2) If I map the drive, I can open the file but attempting to save the file results in disk full error (Excel).

I wonder what I am doing wrong?

If you map one of the shared folders to a drive you will notice that it only shows 72k available on the drive, which is way off.

For the first time I had an MS Outlook problem within a WinXP Pro VM. I am running RC2. I don't know what caused it but when I shut down outlook and restarted, I received an error message that my folders could not be found. Restarted the VM and I still could not get Outlook going. I attempted to disconnect a mapped drive (networked drive, not Shared Folder) and received an error message indicating that there were open files. This occurred *after* I had shut down the VM and restarted. This doesn't make sense to me. I had to shut down parallels completely (exit Parallels). When the VM and Outlook started up, I received the "Outlook not closed properly" message and it repaired the data file.

I have this wary feeling that Outlook is not running as smooth as before. I hope it is nothing as experience so far has been excellent.
