Parallels, I will say that this is an extremely sensational product, and I have already pre-ordered. However, many people have been requesting an unstaller for the Product, and I must say that I am in the boat with them. My concern is that as we progress through the stages of the Beta, we are leaving "old" items on our Macs that are no longer required, and have no way of removing them. Furthermore, I have only just been getting weird and wonderful things with my Built-In Ethernet Adaptor appearing / disappearing / appearing / disappearing etc in the Network Preferences Panel since I installed Beta 6. It is rather annoying, and I am trying to ascertain if it is the Parrallels changes that are affecting this - but because I can't uninstall all of the Parallels changes, it makes it very difficult. Before you ask, yes I have run the Hardware Test, and there are no errors. So please ... provide an uninstaller!
Hi, I also already pre-ordered the version for OS X . I would be glad to uninstall everything before installing the final version. As I also have some problems using Cisco VPN client since installing Parallels, I would like to uninstall it completely and try to see if afterwards I can again use Cisco VPN client. Thanks for putting this feature in a future beta release (would be glad to have this before final version ). Seeu Chris
Add another vote for this. Any Mac app like PW that makes a whole bunch of low-level system changes really *must* have an uninstaller imho. --Tim
Can someone from Parallels please advise as to whether or not a proper uninstaller will be provided? Many thanks.
I'd like to put in my vote for this too. In the short term, it would be useful to know what changes have been made to the OS so we can uninstall manually, at least. It's not that I want to uninstall - indeed I expect a long and healthy relationship with this product but I would like to know what it has changed on my system. D
I agree; although I personally have no need to uninstall Parallels, any product that installs kernel extensions should include an uninstall utility.
Need uninstaller I too need an uninstaller, as my airport networking seems to have been broken by parallels.
Just use the search function and find a posting named "How To: Uninstall Parallels on OS X" as long as the Parallels team is developing the uninstaller within their product.
Me too! I'd also really appreciate an uninstaller. I don't need it yet, but I'm not thrilled about running something which makes substantial modifications to my wonderful new computer (e.g. it installs a virtual ethernet adapter) but can't be uninstalled. I'm on a trial license now. What will happen if I don't pay to upgrade it when it runs out? Will it leave a half-installed program?
