I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 8.1 Pro (running Parallels 10 via OS X 10.10.4/iMac) by using Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's Windows 10 Download/Installation page. Should I uninstall Start8 and ModernMix that came with Parallels 10 and are designed for Windows 8? Especially the Start8 app is distracting in Win10. Of course it would suck if the Windows 10 versions of these two apps were to come available for free (upgrade) and I had uninstalled the apps (and thus might have problems getting them or their licenses back)?
After uninstalling and rebooting; on boot up, it automatically downloads and reinstalls those programs.
Please start the uninstaller, you will find it here: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Start8\uninstall.exe" or "/C:C:\Program Files\Stardock\Start8\Uninstall\uninstall.xml"
