I am running parallels build 4560 and am trying to upgrade to windows vista ultimate and it wont let me.

It says "This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer."

now what does that mean and what can i do?

    thanks

Make sure you select Prepare Machine for Vista (or something like that) from within Parallels (the virtual machine has to be fully up and running)
