unable to start Parallels 2.2 on Suse10.1

    I installed the new version and now It won't start. I get this error and log

    Hi,
    it seems like you have the same problem I got first.
    I had that very same log output, when I tried to use the 'parallels' command from the console using my normal user.

    Then I found that it worked when using root to start from the console but this was not how I intended to use it.

    Later I noticed that parallels runs, using the normal user, when started by the desktop manager, in my case KDE. I added a menu item with the 'parallels" command and live happily ever after.:)

    I remember this as a problem about parallels renaming some root readonly files at startup.
