    Hi,

I am running windows 7 ultimate under parallels desktop (I have upgraded version) and I can't seem to install some applications, even firefox! A pop up always says it's not a valid win32 application. My windows is x32. I am running under administrator mode. I want to try to set it's compatibility mode (Properties>compatibility) but it says compatibility mode cannot be set permanently on this program because it's on a network drive. What should I do? I'm sorry I'm very new to this.

Where are you tring to install your apps, on the VM's virtual hard drive or on a shared folder (which in essence is your Mac's hard drive)? Try installing the app on your virtual machine's virtual hard drive (e.g. "C:").
