What is this??? The XP was running fine on my Macbook Pro. I didn't try to connect in two days and all of sudden I can't boot the XP. It shows me "unable to connect to VM port %1". I am on Beta 3 Thanks! tee
Tee, I see that message when I have the "Network Adapter" set to "Host Only Networking", which is not implemented in Beta3. Check to make sure that you have "Bridged Networking" selected...
Check your ethernet settings and ensure that you are referencing the proper adapter. Had exact same problem and found that the Wireless ethernet adapter was originally en0 but switch to en1 after I began using the built-in-ethernet. Their current version doesn't auto detect the change just yet. If needed, you can also just disable ethernet and startup the VM session and then boot up and access the Windows partition and when done, simply fix it to match your current configuration and should work ok. Hope this helps.
I have networking set to bridged Ethernet, and am getting the error message as of today. Things were fine when I shut down yesterday. The only difference is that I am running wired Enet now. I notice that I cannot set the Enet adapter back to en0.
Hi all, thanks for your response, but none of them works. I did checked careful before I posted my message. Now I am having another problem, and is creating a new post for it. tee
Try switching networking adapter Like a previous poster said I had this exact same issue and switching from en0 to en1 worked for me. Typically I use my macbookpro at home on a wireless network and that's what I setup my VM's to use. However at work I'm on a wired network so I turned off the wireless adapter. This happens in RC1. I have to work on the networking setup, but the change on en# got me past the first error.
