unable to connect to parallels service with version 6 I'm very disappointed that there hasn't been a concise posting reply by the Parallels support team that resolves this issue. It's an issue that's been existing for several months now for Parallels version 6. Yep, it's happening to me as well. I've submitted a ticket for support and here's the reply I received: Hello Jerrold, Thank you for contacting Parallels Technical Support. As I understand you are getting an error message that unable to connect to Parallels Service. Can you please send me the screen shot of the error message? In this scenario I would recommend you to perform Repair Disk Permissions. Please follow the below mentioned steps: Go to finder --> Applications-->Utility-->Disk Utility-->Macintosh HD window will open-->Click on Macintosh HD --> Click on Repair Disk Permission. Please restart the Mac OS after performing the Repair Disk Permissions. Please perform the Verify Disk Permission, reboot your Mac OS. Please let me know you are getting the same warning message. Jerrold, as per the work flow I am putting this ticket on "Resolved" status. This does not mean that the ticket is resolved, you can open this ticket with in 14days. Please let me know whether the issue is resolved. Thank you for choosing Parallel software. Have a nice day! Thanks, -- Santhosh M J Technical Support Engineer Parallels I'll try the Repair Disk Permissions, can't hurt. But I'm surprised by the request for the screen shot of the error message...isn't this the Parallels Team? Shouldn't they know what this error message looks like? ???? If the "Repair" works, I'll post its success here. Jerrold
