Unable to Connect to Hard Disk 1

A file or device required for the operation of Hard Disk 1 does not exist or is used by another process, or you have no permission to access it. The virtual machine will continue running, but the device will be disconnected.

I have gotten this message ever since updating from 3.0 to 4.0 under Snow Leopard.

Any ideas or solutions?

Did you manage to fix that issue? I got the same problem, and the instructions posted didn't resolve the issue.

I have all the proper read write permissions, I tried to uninstall and re-install (with no luck). Don't know what to do.
