Starting a new thread since it was impossible to get any answer in the last one!!! have recently upgraded my imac to os 10.9.4. I have used parallels 9 on that mac before. I copid my pvm file to my macbook to be able to continue working while my iMac got an new hard disk and the new system. I have tried to both copy and clone the .pvm and when i try to open it in prallels 9 in my Imac I get the error " "Unable to connect Hard Disk 1 A file or device required for the operation of Hard Disk 1 does not exist or is used by another process, or you have no permission to access it. The virtual machine wil continue running, but the device will be disconnected." I have tried to search for help in parallels support, but the help I could find, told me to check the log file, and when I did that i didn't have the same lines as in the help (http://kb.parallels.com/en/116508). So i am stuck. The copy i made, works fine from the macbook I copied it from, so i guess there is some problems with my iMac, but what am I supposed to do?? I really need som help since I haven't been able to use prallels on my iMac for 2,5 months now... I have a clone of my vm. I can't find any hdd file there. I can't find any information about what to do then. I have a copy of my vm. it contains a .hdd file. When I try to change the path in configure, the .hdd files transforms to a folder containing 4 .hdd files. I am very sorry, but the information given in the site you referred to, is not useable for me who is npt so used with pc in english. This i driving me crazy since it seems impossible to get any help!!!
