unable to change virtual machine configuration: video & main memory allocation

    Parallels 5 works fine on Snow Leopard MacBook Pro for me. And generally I can change the configuration (via Virtual Machine->Configure)
    But
    I cannot change Video Memory Allocation or uncheck "Enable 3D acceleration" or "Enable verticle sync"
    I cannot change main memory allocation.

    What can I do?

    you cant change these while the VM is running .... goto Config and chose NEVER under START AUTOMATICALLY, press OK.

    Then start the VM again and before opening the VM go to Config and you should be able to make the changes. Click ok and start up the VM

    Stop Virtual machine first

    I discovered you have to stop the virtual machine first and shomehow when I did this, it asked if I wanted to stop and edit configuration. It let me make the changes. Other times I've tried to stop, it doesn't ask this quesiton, so I have no idea what method I used that worked. Sorry
